Three months of pre-trial detention ordered for those involved in the jewelry store robbery in Cristo Rey
Santo Domingo.– Judge Fátima Veloz, of the Judicial Office of Permanent Attention Services of the National District, imposes three months of preventive detention as a coercive measure against several people involved in the assault on the Popi Oro jewelry store, located in the Cristo Rey sector.
Among the accused are Hensy Yoel Reynoso Abreu, Juan Alexander Gálvez Marte, identified by the authorities as the alleged planner of the event from a penitentiary and Wilkin Jhonatan de los Santos, known as “el Cojo” or “el Mocho”.
According to preliminary investigations, the group would have participated in the execution of the robbery, which generated alarm among residents and merchants in the area.
