Three months of pre-trial detention ordered for those involved in the jewelry store robbery in Cristo Rey

Santo Domingo.– Judge Fátima Veloz, of the Judicial Office of Permanent Attention Services of the National District, imposes three months of preventive detention as a coercive measure against several people involved in the assault on the Popi Oro jewelry store, located in the Cristo Rey sector. Among the accused are Hensy Yoel Reynoso Abreu, Juan Alexander Gálvez Marte, identified by the authorities as the alleged planner of the event from a penitentiary and Wilkin Jhonatan de los Santos, known as “el Cojo” or “el Mocho”. According to preliminary investigations, the group would have participated in the execution of the robbery, which generated alarm among residents and merchants in the area.

Likewise, the authorities report that they are actively searching for several fugitives linked to the case. Among them are Wilmer Rafael Solano García, alias “El Mello Sangriento”; Wilner Rafael Solano García, alias “El Mello Loco”; Deiby, known as “Deiby el Sicario”; as well as others identified only by the nicknames “Lenin”, “El Mocho”, “El Grande” and/or “El Cojo”, and Justin Guerrero, alias “El Boricua”. The Public Ministry continues to deepen the investigations with the aim of capturing the fugitives and fully clarifying the case.
