Three suspects involved in machete homicide in El Almirante are handed over

Santo Domingo.- This Saturday, the three young people identified as alleged accomplices in the homicide of Alexis Castillo, 37 years old, which occurred on the night of last Thursday in the El Almirante sector, in Santo Domingo Este, were handed over at the Palacio de la National Police. The deliveries were made voluntarily and with the accompaniment of Diogenes Ozuna, representative of the Dominican Committee of Human Rights (CDDH), Jackson Mercedes, representative of Human Rights of Santo Domingo Este, who acted as a mediator during the process. They were received by the police spokesman, Colonel Diego Pesqueira, who guaranteed the rights of each of the now detainees for investigation purposes. The first to surrender was José Luis Jiménez Acosta, alias “El Pote”, 29 years old; who, upon appearing before the authorities, offered statements in which he alleged that hours before the event he had been arrested by members of the Central Intelligence Directorate (DINTEL) and that, according to his version, he was released after an alleged economic agreement of 40 thousand pesos.

In turn, he also indicated that he would later be informed who had reported him, which, according to his account, led to his transfer with a bladed weapon. Later, Jasiel Sánchez, 19, who became the second young man to surrender, also identified as a presumed accomplice in the homicide. Finally, in the evening hours, José Ángel Terrero, alias “Amarillo”, 20 years old, completed the group by also surrendering, with all those indicated remaining in custody. The persons involved will be placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor's Office, for the corresponding legal purposes.
