Tourists accuse POLITUR Jarabacoa of detaining and abandoning them during a Café Colao tour

La Vega.- A group of tourists reported an incident that occurred while participating in a tour of the municipality of Jarabacoa, specifically in the La Confluencia area, where they claim they were suddenly stopped by POLITUR agents. According to reports, the officers ordered the vehicle to stop without offering any explanation, despite the fact that the transport was full of national and international visitors, from places like the United States and the city of Santiago. The complainants stated that the agents not only detained the vehicle, but then left them abandoned, without guidance, exposed to the elements and without knowing how to continue their route or return to their place of lodging.

Tourists expressed their outrage and concern, noting that the procedure put their safety at risk and completely ruined their experience in the municipality. They also indicated that, due to the bad experience, they will not return to Jarabacoa, calling the actions of the agents a serious mistake and an example of inadequate tourism management. They called on the relevant authorities to take action and prevent events like this from continuing to affect the image and tourism development of the area.
