Traffic accident in Higüey leaves four young people dead after crashing into an electric pole

La Altagracia.- A tragic traffic accident occurred on the road in the community of Jobo Dulce, in Higüey, leaving four young people dead, after the vehicle in which they were traveling crashed into an electrical pole. According to preliminary reports, the accident was recorded in a south-north direction, near the entrance to the accommodation for the buses of the tourist transport La Monumental. The vehicle involved is a jeep brand Honda CR-V, white, which for reasons still under investigation crashed into the electric pole. Inside the vehicle were four young people, who were seriously affected by the impact. The fatalities were identified as Harel Javier Martínez, Adarbeyro Santana Caraballo, Arberlin Marino Marte López and Wilmi Alexander Guerrero.

According to reports, two of the young people died at the scene of the accident, while the others later died while receiving medical attention at the General and Specialties Hospital Nuestra Señora de La Altagracia, in the province of La Altagracia. After the accident, units from the National Emergency and Security Attention System 9-1-1, agents from the General Directorate of Traffic and Ground Transportation Safety, members of the National Police and the Higüey Fire Department arrived at the scene.
