Tragedy in Villa Pereira: “Buchito” passes away after being struck by a high-displacement motorcycle

La Romana.– A tragic traffic accident claimed the life of a man identified as “Buchito,” a resident of the Villa Pereira sector, after being struck by a high-displacement motorcycle, popularly known as a “racer.”

According to preliminary information, the incident occurred when Buchito was allegedly attempting to cross Gregorio Luperón street, at which moment he was struck by the motorcycle driver.

The victim was rushed to a private health center, where they passed away while receiving medical attention due to the severity of the injuries sustained, including heavy bleeding in one of their legs.

The motorcycle driver was also seriously injured and remains admitted to a medical center. So far, the authorities have not revealed his identity nor have they offered official details about his health condition.

Members of the corresponding agencies are investigating the circumstances under which the accident occurred, with the aim of establishing the responsibilities of the case.

Buchito was a well-known person in Villa Pereira, where he used to get around on foot and dedicated himself to collecting used items to sell them, in addition to asking for financial help from residents of the area.

The event has caused sorrow among the residents of the community, which just a few days ago also said goodbye to another well-known neighbor of the sector, identified as Charlotte.
