Agreement between the Dominican Government and NVIDIA boosts access to greater data processing capacity and positions the country as a regional benchmark in artificial intelligence focused on emergency management.
Santo Domingo. – With the support of the United States Embassy in the country, the National Emergency and Security Attention System 911 participated in the NVIDIA GTC 2026 international conference, held in San Jose, California, consolidating a joint agenda aimed at strengthening the country's technological capabilities and hemispheric security.
The participation of the 911 System is part of a strategic cooperation promoted together with the United States Embassy, through the Narcotics Affairs and Law Enforcement Section (INL), aimed at the development of advanced capabilities in artificial intelligence, interoperability, and emergency management.
During the event, a team of technicians from the 911 System, headed by its executive director, Colonel Randolfo Rijo Gómez, ERD, held high-level meetings with NVIDIA executives, including Calista Redmond, Vice President of Global Artificial Intelligence Initiatives, as part of the follow-up to the technological initiatives promoted within the framework of this cooperation.
