Santo Domingo. – The Santo Domingo Norte University (Unisnorte) held its first extraordinary graduation, an event in which twelve students officially completed their professional training and which also marked the formal opening of the institution’s new campus in Colina Centro.
The day was described by the academic community as a historic event, as it combined the awarding of professional degrees with the inauguration of an academic space designed to respond to the growth of Unisnorte and the demand for higher education in the northern area of Greater Santo Domingo.
“Today, w3 writes an important page in its institutional history. This first extraordinary graduation confirms that higher education can and must be closer to the communities that demand opportunities to grow,” expressed Rector Noel Antonio de la Cruz Ibé.
When referring to the new campus, the highest academic authority stated that this space represents an investment in the present and future of its students, because it will allow for the strengthening of teaching, the expansion of academic services, and the continued elevation of the quality of education offered by the prestigious institution.
The other authorities highlighted that this first graduation represents a significant step in the mission of bringing higher education opportunities closer to the residents of Santo Domingo Norte and nearby communities, preventing many young people and adults from having to travel to other locations to pursue a university degree.
Also, they pointed out that the opening of the new headquarters is part of an institutional expansion phase focused on academic quality, innovation, and close student support.

With this first extraordinary graduation, Unisnorte delivers twelve new professionals to society and reaffirms its commitment to accessible, relevant higher education linked to the social and economic development of Santo Domingo Norte.

The new headquarters, located in Colina Centro, on President Jacobo Majluta Azar Avenue, was presented as a modern infrastructure aimed at improving the student experience, strengthening academic services, and offering more suitable conditions for students, faculty, and staff.
The new graduates join professional practice with the backing of an education oriented toward service, responsibility, and contributing to the development of their communities and the country.
