Santiago.- The celebration of the Christmas spirit arrived in this city with the inauguration of the traditional Christmas Village 2025, in an event headed by Vice President Raquel Peña, along with the executive president of Banreservas, doctor Leonardo Aguilera; and Mayor José Ulises Rodríguez.
The gardens of the Gran Teatro del Cibao were illuminated with Christmas lights that captured the attention of hundreds of attendees, who also enjoyed live performances and a fireworks display.
When speaking at the event, Dr. Aguilera highlighted the importance of family integration to enjoy Christmas, a time when the birth of the Baby Jesus is commemorated.
“The Reserve Bank supports this initiative of the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, committed to the material and spiritual well-being of all Dominicans,” he said.
Likewise, he expressed his wish that the citizenry feel welcome and motivated to share with freedom, security, love, peace, and harmony in these spaces allegorical to Christmas.
Christmas Village 2025 will offer live performances, light displays, characters, a snow forest, inflatable games, interactive zones, and fireworks throughout December, reaffirming itself as the seasonal place to share in community and officially welcome the Christmas season.
Banreservas, which recently inaugurated its Cultural Center in the restored facilities of the former Hotel Mercedes, reaffirms its commitment to continue promoting activities that foster coexistence and healthy recreation for citizens.
