More than 300 boys and girls participate in an educational day focused on emotional well-being, first aid, and life skills training.
The National Cooperative of Multiple Services for Teachers (COOPNAMA) inaugurated its emblematic 2026 Children’s Summer Camp under the theme “Emotional Well-being and First Aid,” with the participation of more than 300 boys and girls, between 8 and 10 years old, sons and daughters of leaders from cooperative districts across the country.
The activity was led by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Professor Santiago Portes, who highlighted that the institution is contributing to building the future of 322 boys and girls through a topic as important as emotional and physical well-being. Likewise, he highlighted the implementation of a children’s savings policy that will allow participants to strengthen their future development prospects.
“COOPNAMA is rejoicing because it has the most important raw material: the boys and girls, sons and daughters of our members, who during these days will receive joy, fun, and training. In addition, they will participate in recreational and sports activities, accompanied by healthy food,” expressed Portes.

For his part, the Education manager and event organizer, Professor Ubaldo León, stated that the cooperative has been holding this children’s camp for many years with great dedication and care, highlighting that each edition surpasses the previous one.
“In life, we must continuously improve everything we do, and that is precisely what has happened in this edition, where the innovations are visible, timely, and significant,” pointed out León.
The official opening was led by the camp coordinator, Professor Ramona Lemos, who explained that the choice of the motto responds to the importance that emotional well-being and first aid have in daily life.

Lemos pointed out that the goal is to turn the camp into a space where learning and fun complement each other, allowing participants to acquire useful knowledge for their health care and integral development during these three days.
As part of the program, Licentiate Diuveydi Figuereo gave the lecture “Emotional Well-being,” while the Teatro Guaytiao group presented a dramatization on the importance of first aid. The day concluded with an artistic performance by Bizcochito Show.
Accompanying the president of COOPNAMA, Professor Santiago Portes, were the vice president of the Board of Directors, Octavio Bremón; the general manager, Lucas Figueroa Lapaix; the secretary, Felicia Contreras; the treasurer, Zoila Flor Mateo; the president of the Supervisory Board, Francisco Santana; and its secretary, Martín Castillo.
Also present were Elsa Rodríguez and Domingo Mejía Frías, members of the Board; Jorge Alcalá Boyer, representing the president of the Credit Committee, José Fabio Durán; as well as board members Valdemar Romero and Nelly Bonilla, among other cooperative leaders.
The camp’s organizing committee is composed of Ramona Lemos, coordinator; Evelin Liriano, Edgar de la Rosa, María Bussy, Juan Roberto, José Madrigal, Bernardino Feliz, Mirian Reyes, and Teresa Valdez, team liaison. Likewise, members of the Education Management team participated, including Pedro Bidó Fulcar, deputy manager; Sterling Jiménez, Rafael de los Santos, and Yhared Henríquez.
The 2026 Children’s Summer Camp aims to raise awareness among boys and girls about the importance of taking care of their health, strengthening their personal development, and contributing positively to their social environment through various educational and interactive activities.
