Santiago. - A young man, so far only identified as “Papucho,” died on the night of this Saturday after being hit by a National Police patrol in the town of Limón, municipality of Villa González, in an event that keeps the agents involved under investigation.
The accident occurred when the police vehicle was allegedly traveling at high speed down one of the main streets of the town.
Although the authorities have not yet offered precise details about the circumstances of the event, witnesses say that the young man died at the scene due to the severity of the blows.

In addition, it was reported that other people were injured, although their identity and health status are still unknown. The affected individuals were immediately transferred to a hospital in the municipality. The death of “Papucho”, recognized and loved by community residents, has generated great indignation and sorrow among family, friends, and neighbors, who demand a transparent investigation and clear responsibilities from the law enforcement institution. So far, the National Police has not issued a detailed official version, while the judicial authorities are conducting the corresponding investigations to determine if there was speeding or negligence in the driving of the patrol car. According to reports, the bus was on and one of the agents who didn't know how to drive supposedly turned it off and accelerated, resulting in the tragedy. Community members warned that they will remain vigilant of the case's progress, considering that there is an attempt to cover up those responsible.
