San Juan, Puerto Rico.- Zashely Nicole Alicea Rivera, representative of Dorado, was crowned Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2025, becoming the island’s representative in the international pageant that will be held this year in Thailand.
The event took place at the Luis A. Ferré Fine Arts Center in Santurce, with the participation of 23 candidates from different municipalities of Puerto Rico. The final included musical performances, swimsuit and evening gown parades, and interviews before the jury, who evaluated elegance, confidence, projection, and leadership skills.
The finalists’ list included:
First runner-up: Miss Jayuya, Samarys Barbot Arroyo.
Second runner-up: Miss Vieques, Isys Santos Crespo.
Third runner-up: Miss Ponce, Marisabel Rivera.
Fourth runner-up: Miss Canóvanas, Aneichka Maldonado Torres.
The jury was composed of experts in fashion, journalism, health, and entertainment, including Zuleyka Rivera Mendoza, Miss Universe 2006, and Karla Guilfú Acevedo, Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2023.
During the competition, Special Awards were also presented, including:
Total Look RunWay by Colgate Optic White: Miss Dorado, Zashely Alicea Rivera.
Best Hair L’Oréal: Miss Vieques, Isys Arimar Santos Crespo.
Radiant Skin L’Oréal Paris: Miss Ponce, Marisabel Rivera Negrón.
The preparation of the candidates began in June, covering areas such as public speaking, runway, personal development, and social commitment, under the motto “Presence”, with the aim of choosing an authentic ambassador with leadership.
