Seville \u2013<\/strong> Continuing her agenda in Spain, Carolina Mej\u00eda<\/strong> participated in an honorary luncheon at the Seville Chamber of Commerce, where businesspeople from the Iberian country participated to expand commercial ties with the Dominican Republic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The act, held at the headquarters in the Casa de Contrataci\u00f3n<\/strong>, was presided over by the head of the Chamber of Commerce, Francisco Herrero, <\/strong>who thanked both Mej\u00eda’s presence, as well as the ambassador of the Dominican Republic in Spain, Tony Raful, and other guests. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDominican Republic is a country that presents great opportunities for the development of investment and commercialization projects,\u201d <\/strong>he specified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mej\u00eda discussed the relevance of Santo Domingo, the ties that historically unite both cities, and the major projects being planned and developed. In that regard, this same week he signed, along with Mayor Jos\u00e9 Luis Sanz, the twinning agreement between Seville and the Dominican capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFrom Santo Domingo, we value the commitment and work carried out by merchants and entrepreneurs as great allies of our communities. I am thrilled that we continue to strengthen the relationships between both cities!\u201d, said Carolina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For his part, Ambassador Tony Raful spoke about the possibilities that the Dominican Republic offers to entrepreneurs to develop investment and commercialization projects, especially now that it is reaching growth rates of around 5% annually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting was attended by companies from the real estate, construction, agri-food, electric vehicles, renewable energy, logistics sectors and a technology center-laboratory for product and process analysis.<\/p>\n\n\nAccording to the figures presented, Seville’s exports to the Caribbean country increased by 50 percent in 2024, exceeding 30 million euros, with olive oil as the best-selling product.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
