Santo Domingo.-<\/strong> The former employee of the traditional nightclub Jet Set, Gregory Adames,<\/strong> has been summoned again by the Attorney General’s Office of the Dominican Republic (PGR<\/a>) to continue with the interrogations related to the investigation into the collapse of the establishment that occurred on the morning of April 8.<\/p>\n\n\nAdames, who has already appeared before the authorities on other occasions, will have to answer new questions within the framework of the investigations carried out by the Public Ministry (MP<\/a>) to clarify the causes of the tragic incident that left more than 230 dead and around 180 injured.\n\n\n

The incident has generated deep shock in Dominican society and has led the authorities to intensify investigations to determine responsibilities and prevent future similar events.\n\nIt is recalled that businessman Antonio Espaillat was transferred on Thursday night to the prison of the Palace of Justice<\/a> of Ciudad Nueva, as part of the ongoing investigation into the collapse of the roof of the Jet Set nightclub, a tragedy that left 236 people dead and more than 180 injured.\n\nAuthorities also confirmed the detention of Maribel Espaillat<\/strong>, sister of the businessman and administrator of the nightclub, who according to reports was the first to alert Antonio about what happened, by calling him from the rubble in the early morning of April 8th.\n\nBoth brothers appeared at the headquarters of the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic (PGR<\/a>) shortly after 2:00 p.m. on Thursday and around 6:50 p.m., the Public Ministry issued a statement confirming that the Espaillats are being investigated for involuntary manslaughter<\/strong>, due to their alleged negligence<\/strong> in the prevention of structural collapse.\n\n\n
