Two of the cases occurred on the same day, last May 31, and of the four registered, two occurred in San Francisco de Macor\u00eds<\/a>. Preliminary investigations indicate that, although each case has its particularities, they all share as a common element the use of knives or sharp weapons to commit the crimes.<\/p>\n\n\nThe most recent event occurred on the morning of last Sunday, June 15, when Katherine S\u00e1nchez Mej\u00eda, 28, killed her ex-partner, Jos\u00e9 Manuel Encarnaci\u00f3n Encarnaci\u00f3n, 32, with several stab wounds during an incident at her home, located in the La Nueva Barquita sector, in Santo Domingo Norte.\n\n\n

At that moment, the woman was returning home with two friends. After the events, she immediately surrendered to the authorities.\n\n\n

The first documented case was recorded on the night of May 31 in the Rabo de Chivo sector, in San Francisco de Macor\u00eds, where Natalia de Jes\u00fas, 27 years old, stabbed her partner to death<\/a>, Anderson Ortiz \u00c1valo, known as \u201cKike\u201d. The crime occurred in the midst of a heated discussion inside the house they both shared.<\/p>\n\n\nA week later, also in San Francisco de Macor\u00eds, Lisbeth Jim\u00e9nez Garc\u00eda, 26, fatally stabbed her partner, Jorge Rodr\u00edguez, 35. According to unofficial information, the event would also have been triggered by a previous discussion.\n\nAuthorities continue to investigate each case to establish responsibilities and determine if in some of them there was self-defense, as claimed by family members of at least one of the accused.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
