This situation is giving way to a drier and more stable air mass, dominated by a high-pressure system located in the North Atlantic.\n\nAs a result, the weather this Wednesday is expected to remain sunny<\/a>, hot and with an opaque sky<\/strong>, due to the arrival of particles of dust from the Sahara desert<\/strong>. However, some isolated showers<\/strong> could be recorded in towns in the provinces of Monte Cristi, Puerto Plata, Valverde, Santiago, Santiago Rodr\u00edguez and Dajab\u00f3n<\/strong>, as a result of local effects and the influence of the warm and humid wind from the southeast.\n\n\n

The environment will continue to be favorable for outdoor activities<\/strong>, although some short afternoon showers<\/strong> are not ruled out in the same provinces of the northwest and north of the country.\n\n\n

Storm Andrea Downgraded and Poses No Threat<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\nThe Indomet also reported that Tropical Storm Andrea<\/strong> has weakened, becoming a post-tropical cyclone<\/strong>. It is currently located 1,585 kilometers west of the Azores<\/strong>, moving northeast at a speed of 31 km\/h and a minimum central pressure of 1015 millibars. The phenomenon does not pose a threat to the Dominican Republic<\/strong> due to its location and trajectory.\n\n\n

Caution on the coasts<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\nRegarding maritime conditions, the warning remains in effect for the entire Caribbean coast<\/strong> and part of the Atlantic coast<\/strong>, from Cabo Enga\u00f1o (La Altagracia) to Cabo Cabr\u00f3n (Saman\u00e1)<\/strong>, where operators of small and fragile vessels are advised to remain in port<\/strong> due to abnormal waves<\/strong>. In the rest of the Atlantic coast, it is advised to navigate with caution, without venturing out to sea.\n\n\n

Local Forecast<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\nIn the National District<\/strong> and the municipalities of Santo Domingo North, East and West<\/strong>, conditions of scattered clouds, grayish sky and high temperatures<\/strong> will be maintained during the day.\n\nTemperatures will range between 21\u202f\u00b0C and 23\u202f\u00b0C in the early hours<\/strong>, and will reach highs of 32\u202f\u00b0C to 34\u202f\u00b0C at midday and in the afternoon<\/strong>.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
