Disney <\/a>has officially confirmed that a sequel to the live-action film Lilo & Stitch is already in development. The announcement was made on June 26th, a symbolic date in honor of Experiment 626, the government name of the popular blue extraterrestrial.<\/p>\n\n\nThe news was revealed through a video on the studio’s social media, where Stitch appears driving a pink convertible through the Disney studios. “I should have known I couldn’t keep a secret. A 626-day surprise: Lilo & Stitch 2 is already in development!”, indicates the message accompanying the clip.\n\n\n

According to Disney, it also marked a milestone as the highest-grossing opening on a Memorial Day long weekend in United States history.\n\n\n
