In its own operations, the company has achieved a 54% reduction in GHG emissions since 2019 and reports a renewable energy consumption of 94%, staying on track to achieve net-zero emissions by 2030.\n\n\n

These achievements go hand in hand with continuous efforts to improve living conditions and strengthen economies by providing safe food everywhere. In this regard, Adolfo Orive, President and CEO of Tetra Pak, pointed out that by 2050 the world population is expected to reach 10 billion people, which will drive a 60% increase in food demand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This adds to another year of significant development in the decarbonization of the company's operations and in helping its customers reduce their emissions through the equipment, technology and services it offers to the food and beverage industry.\n\nThese advances demonstrate the company's ongoing commitment to work in collaboration with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders to achieve net-zero GHG emissions across the entire value chain (scopes 1, 2, and 3) by 2050, compared to 2019.\n\nA key factor in Tetra Pak's progress in reducing GHG emissions across its value chain in 2024 were its resource-efficient equipment such as water and energy, its comprehensive factory optimization technology, and its packaging solutions with a lower carbon footprint.\n\n\n
