These are followed by deaths from traffic accidents <strong>(32,060)<\/strong>, other types of accidents <strong>(4,031),<\/strong> homicides <strong>(15,230),<\/strong> suicides <strong>(5,681),<\/strong> work-related deaths <strong>(1,533)<\/strong> and due to aging <strong>(1,965)<\/strong>.\n\nIn addition, <strong>166,764<\/strong> deaths attributed to other causes are counted, according to the data available on the official statistics portal <strong>onarec.jce.gob.do.<\/strong>\n\nIn territorial terms, Santo Domingo tops the list of localities with the most registered deaths, with a total of &#8220;157,910&#8221; deaths, followed by Santiago de los Caballeros with &#8220;76,368&#8221; and the National District with &#8220;45,275&#8221; deaths.\n\nThe mortality analysis by year shows a peak in 2021, with 53,587 deaths, followed by the year 2022 with 51,356.
