The initiative is supported by the World Bank and Coursera<\/em><\/p>\n\n\nSanto Domingo<\/strong>.- The Dominican Institute of Telecommunications (INDOTEL<\/a>) held the first edition of the Student Merit Award in STEM Disciplines, which will impact 500 scholarships to students from public schools in different vulnerable communities in the country.\n\nAward-winning students will receive a STEM training scholarship, with access to high-level training platforms in areas such as programming, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data analysis, robotics, and key soft skills for the working world.\n\nThe president of the Board of Directors of INDOTEL, Guido G\u00f3mez Mazara, highlighted that the preparation that these young people will have access to through these scholarships will serve them to be able to enter a labor market that demands more and more training every day.\n\n\n
