This forum is part of a series of regional meetings derived from the Northeast Forum, held in September 2023, promoted by List\u00edn Diario in collaboration with the Universidad Cat\u00f3lica Nordestana (UCNE<\/a>) and with the support of the Ministry of Finance and Economy.<\/p>\n\n\nThe organization was supported by the municipalities of Santa B\u00e1rbara de Saman\u00e1, S\u00e1nchez and Las Terrenas, as well as the directors of municipal districts, the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, the National Institute of Potable Water and Sewers (INAPA) and the Dominican Federation of Municipalities (FEDOMU), chaired by Lic. Nelson N\u00fa\u00f1ez.\n\n\n

You can also read: Mayor Nelson N\u00fa\u00f1ez highlights the importance of \u201cSaman\u00e1 Ciudad de Dios 2025\u201d | De \u00daltimo Minuto<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\nAmong the authorities present were Senator Pedro Catrain, deputies Carmen Williams and Cecilio Garc\u00eda, the mayor of Las Terrenas Eduardo Esteban Polanco, the deputy mayor of S\u00e1nchez Mariel Rodr\u00edguez, the director of the municipal district of Las Galeras Ana Reyes, the director of Arroyo Barril Luis Felipe Ferm\u00edn and the director of El Lim\u00f3n Fernando Mercado, along with representatives of government institutions, community leaders and members of the press.\n\nThe event was broadcast live by TELENORD and rebroadcast through the digital platforms Saman\u00e1 en Sinton\u00eda and the Grupo de Medios Digitales Redes del Nordeste, allowing thousands of citizens inside and outside the country to follow the development of the day.\n\nSaman\u00e1 thus becomes the third province in the Northeast to hold its provincial forum, following Mar\u00eda Trinidad S\u00e1nchez and Hermanas Mirabal. The next meeting will be held in September in Duarte province, as part of this initiative that seeks to strengthen inter-institutional dialogue and promote the integral development of the region.\n\n\n
