{"id":478634,"date":"2025-08-15T10:04:24","date_gmt":"2025-08-15T14:04:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.net\/en\/uncategorized\/puerto-rico-under-flood-warning-for-tropical-storm-erin\/"},"modified":"2025-08-15T10:04:24","modified_gmt":"2025-08-15T14:04:24","slug":"puerto-rico-under-flood-warning-for-tropical-storm-erin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.net\/en\/international\/puerto-rico-under-flood-warning-for-tropical-storm-erin\/","title":{"rendered":"Puerto Rico under flood warning for Tropical Storm Erin"},"content":{"rendered":"<strong>San Juan.- <\/strong>The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.weather.gov\/sju\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.weather.gov\/sju\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">National Weather Service (NWS)<\/a><\/strong> of <strong>San Juan<\/strong> issued this Friday a flash flood warning from this Friday until the night of next Monday due to the passage of the <strong>tropical storm Erin<\/strong> through the area.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\"An increase in showers and thunderstorms is expected to occur late tonight into Saturday morning as Erin moves north of the region,\" the NWS said in a statement.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\nThe agency added that the period in which the most rain is expected will be tomorrow, Saturday, in the northern area of Puerto Rico and the north of the U.S. Virgin Islands, and on Sunday towards the south and east of Puerto Rico, possibly extending to Monday morning.\n\nThe areas where the most precipitation is expected will be the south and east of Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.\n\nAccording to the forecast, <strong>up to 6 inches (15 centimeters) of rain is expected to fall<\/strong>, both in the south and east of Puerto Rico and in the Virgin Islands.
