{"id":480067,"date":"2025-08-26T06:18:17","date_gmt":"2025-08-26T10:18:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.net\/en\/uncategorized\/they-forecast-rains-associated-with-a-tropical-wave\/"},"modified":"2025-08-26T06:18:17","modified_gmt":"2025-08-26T10:18:17","slug":"they-forecast-rains-associated-with-a-tropical-wave","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.net\/en\/uncategorized\/they-forecast-rains-associated-with-a-tropical-wave\/","title":{"rendered":"They forecast rains associated with a tropical wave"},"content":{"rendered":"<strong>Santo Domingo. <\/strong>\u2013 According to the Dominican Republic's Meteorology Institute (INDOMET), since the early hours of the morning, increased cloudiness is observed in some towns of the Caribbean coastal area, with isolated showers and occasional wind gusts associated with an active tropical wave located over Haiti, with its greatest rainfall activity over the Caribbean Sea, especially over the provinces of Peravia, San Jos\u00e9 de Ocoa, and Barahona.\n\nIn that sense, these afternoon and early evening precipitations will be moving in the form of locally moderate to heavy downpours, accompanied by thunderstorms and wind gusts, especially in the provinces: Hato Mayor, Monte Plata, Monse\u00f1or Nouel, La Vega, Santiago, Peravia, Azua, San Jos\u00e9 de Ocoa, San Crist\u00f3bal, Santo Domingo, San Juan, El\u00edas Pi\u00f1a, among other locations.\n\n<p><br>Summer is a season of the year characterized by hot temperatures, in addition to other factors such as Saharan dust, and warm southeast winds, in this sense we urge you to wear light-colored clothing, to drink enough fluids, to seek cool and ventilated places, if you sunbathe from 11am to 5pm, do so with proper protection, and remember that children and the elderly are more susceptible.<\/p>\n\nFor tomorrow Wednesday, a trough is forecast in the upper levels of the troposphere and the approach of a new tropical wave, both factors will be generating humidity with some showers in sectors of the Caribbean coastal plain and the northeastern portion of the country, during the morning hours. However, in the afternoon the showers will be of greater intensity with thunderstorms and wind gusts, mainly towards the northwest line, the northeast, the Central Mountain Range and locations in the border area.\n\nThese precipitations will last until the early hours of the night. In the rest of the country, an opaque sky with scattered clouds will prevail. Cyclonic activity in the Atlantic basin, Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico or America:\n\nTropical Storm Fernand is located about 1020 km east\/northeast of Bermuda. With maximum sustained winds it has increased to about 75 km\/h and is moving north\/northeast at about 22 km\/h.
