{"id":483648,"date":"2025-09-21T12:57:55","date_gmt":"2025-09-21T16:57:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.net\/en\/uncategorized\/pld-advances-in-internal-reorganization-with-a-view-to-the-2028-elections\/"},"modified":"2025-09-21T13:04:30","modified_gmt":"2025-09-21T17:04:30","slug":"pld-advances-in-internal-reorganization-with-a-view-to-the-2028-elections","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.net\/en\/dominican-news\/pld-advances-in-internal-reorganization-with-a-view-to-the-2028-elections\/","title":{"rendered":"PLD advances in internal reorganization with a view to the 2028 elections"},"content":{"rendered":"Santo Domingo<\/strong>. \u2013 The Dominican Liberation Party (PLD<\/a>) held a meeting of its Political Committee this Sunday, in which 43 of its members participated, to follow up on the work agenda and the structural reorganization of the organization in preparation for the 2028 elections.\n\nThe PLD’s Secretary General, Johnny Pujols, reported that the organization concluded the first phase of its Organizational and Electoral Line (LOE) plan, focused on the validation of base, intermediate, and central committee presidents, now entering a second stage of territorial positioning, which already reaches 20% of the electoral precincts.\n\nDuring the meeting, reports were also presented by the Secretariat of International Affairs, headed by Gustavo S\u00e1nchez, on official visits to Spain with leaders of the Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party (PSOE<\/a>) and other organizations, as part of the strategy to strengthen international ties and political training programs.\n\nAlso, the proposals of more than 40 heads of secretariats were reviewed, who presented teams of up to 12 undersecretaries.\n\nA commission headed by members Iv\u00e1n Lorenzo, Zoraima Cuello, and Juan Tem\u00edstocles Mont\u00e1s, along with Celenia Vidal, will be in charge of evaluating profiles to ensure compliance with the statutes and avoid duplication.\n\n\n
You can also read: Danilo swears in new PLD members in SDO<\/a><\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\nIn the meeting, a commission was also appointed, made up of Tem\u00edstocles Mont\u00e1s, Gustavo S\u00e1nchez, Lidio Cadet, and Andr\u00e9s Navarro to analyze the situation in Palestine and Israel, so that the PLD can publicly state its position this Thursday, the 25th, in a press conference at 10:00 a.m.\n\nThat same day, at 5:00 p.m., the organization will commemorate the 60th anniversary of the 62nd anniversary of the coup d’\u00e9tat against Juan Bosch, and the 52nd anniversary of the overthrow of Salvador Allende, with a conference aimed at the militants and the youth of the PLD, headed by the former Minister of Education, Alejandrina Germ\u00e1n.\n\nPujols emphasized that the organization is working with an eye on 2028 with sufficient anticipation, learning from previous processes and ensuring that each leader knows their area of work to design the electoral strategy that will allow a return to power.\n\n\n
