Faced with this situation, and in compliance with Law 147-02 on Risk Management, the COE <\/a>placed San Crist\u00f3bal, San Pedro de Macor\u00eds, the National District and Santo Domingo province on yellow alert, while Mar\u00eda Trinidad S\u00e1nchez, Saman\u00e1, La Romana, La Altagracia, Duarte, Hato Mayor and El Seibo remain or enter on green alert<\/p>\n\n\nThe agency warned that these conditions could generate rising rivers, streams and ravines, as well as flash or urban floods, so it urged the population to remain attentive to official bulletins.\n\nRegarding maritime conditions, the COE recommended that, from this Wednesday and during New Year’s Thursday, operators of fragile, small, and medium-sized vessels navigate with extreme caution along the entire Caribbean coast, due to reduced visibility, electrical discharges, wind gusts, and locally abnormal waves.\n\n\n
