{"id":496344,"date":"2026-01-01T14:10:47","date_gmt":"2026-01-01T18:10:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.net\/en\/uncategorized\/public-institutions-consolidate-international-presence-during-2025-through-senpa\/"},"modified":"2026-01-01T14:12:16","modified_gmt":"2026-01-01T18:12:16","slug":"public-institutions-consolidate-international-presence-during-2025-through-senpa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.net\/en\/uncategorized\/public-institutions-consolidate-international-presence-during-2025-through-senpa\/","title":{"rendered":"Public institutions consolidate international presence during 2025 through Senpa"},"content":{"rendered":"<strong>Santo Domingo. <\/strong>\u2014 The National Environmental Protection Service (Senpa), a specialized agency of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources under the operational direction of the Armed Forces, achieved significant progress in cooperation, articulation, and international positioning during the year 2025, consolidating itself as a regional benchmark in the fight against environmental crimes.\n\nDuring this period, Senpa expanded its participation in multilateral forums, international operations, and specialized training programs, strengthening its technical and operational capacity to address transnational environmental threats.\n\nIn 2025, the organization trained ten members of its staff through five international programs in areas such as wildfires, illegal mining, transnational crimes, illegal logging, and good operational practices. Among the most outstanding activities are participation in the General Assembly of the Jaguar Network in Cartagena, Colombia; the XII Specialized Environmental Activity of the CFAC in Nicaragua; training in environmental crime investigation with Seproma of Spain in Guatemala; training in illegal logging in Manaus, Brazil, and training in environmental and forest management in Nicaragua; in addition to participation in maritime surveillance and control of illegal fishing in Ecuador.\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"588225\" src=\"https:\/\/deultimominuto.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/WhatsApp-Image-2026-01-01-at-1.12.33-PM-2-1024x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-588225\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"588224\" src=\"https:\/\/deultimominuto.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/WhatsApp-Image-2026-01-01-at-1.12.33-PM-1-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-588224\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"588226\" src=\"https:\/\/deultimominuto.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/WhatsApp-Image-2026-01-01-at-1.12.33-PM-1024x576.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-588226\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>You can also read:<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/deultimominuto.net\/nacionales\/autoridades-refuerzan-lucha\/\"> Senpa, Environment, Army and Migration reinforce the fight against environmental illicit activities and illegal settlements<\/a><\/h6>\n\n\nThe Senpa also increased its presence in spaces for coordination and international cooperation, participating in Interpol's Global Operation Custo Viridis and Europol, meetings on the International Classification of Crimes for Statistical Purposes, meetings of the project Support for Early Action of the Global Biodiversity Framework and in the Technical Subcommittee on Environment of the Commission of Chiefs and Directors of Police of Central America, Mexico, the Caribbean and Colombia. Likewise, it participated in the post-operational meeting of Madre Tierra VII in El Salvador.\n\nIn the operational field, Senpa consolidated its role in global initiatives against environmental crimes, integrating into Operation Mother Earth VII and Operation Thunder 2025, led by Interpol and the World Customs Organization.
