The communicator was attacked when he was going to host a radio program in the city of Aguayt\u00eda, in the Amazonian region of Ucayali.\n\nCastillejos became the fourth journalist murdered in 2025 in Peru. Before him, Gast\u00f3n Medina also lost his life in the southern city of Ica; Ra\u00fal Celis, in Iquitos; and Fernando N\u00fa\u00f1ez, in Pacasmayo, in the north of the country.\n\nThe president of the ANP, Zuliana Lainez, warned that the high number of attacks responds to a systematic attempt to silence the press.\n\n\n
