Corpor\u00e1n <\/a>valued the work done by previous administrations, highlighting their contribution to strengthening the Dominican institutional presence in the city, and assured that his administration will continue the good practices, promoting improvements aimed at the efficiency and quality of consular services.<\/p>\n\n\u201cWith enthusiasm, responsibility, and a spirit of service, we officially begin this new consular management today,<\/strong>\u201d she affirmed, highlighting that this stage represents \u201ca new voice in representation of Dominicans<\/strong>\u201d in Chicago.\n\nOmara Corpor\u00e1n was appointed Consul General of the Dominican Republic in Chicago by Decree No. 573-25, issued by President Luis Abinader on October 20, 2025, according to information published by national media.\n\nHis appointment is part of the Dominican State’s efforts to strengthen attention to the diaspora, promote efficient and transparent consular management, and strengthen institutional, social, and economic ties with the Dominican community abroad.\n\n\n
