Lorenzo David Ram\u00edrez<\/strong>, director of the DGP, it was explained that <strong>all citizens who request their passport for the first time will be able to directly access the electronic passport<\/strong>, as well as those who have expired or soon-to-expire documents, regardless of the year of issue. In cases of loss, the citizen may also initiate the corresponding process in accordance with the established requirements.\n\nThe <strong>23rd of February<\/strong> will begin the <strong>gradual expansion of the service in Santo Domingo and the interior of the country<\/strong> and in <strong>August 2026<\/strong> the gradual deployment abroad will begin.\n\nThis rollout will be carried out in stages to subject the systems to technical tests and guarantee an efficient service.
