Santo Domingo.<\/em> -<\/strong>With the presence of the esteemed Vice President of the Republic, Raquel Pe\u00f1a Rodr\u00edguez, the Medical Center for Diabetes, Obesity and Specialties (CEMDOE<\/a>) held the ceremonial opening of its hospital stage, formally marking the beginning of a new institutional phase before authorities, strategic allies and representatives of the health sector.<\/p>\n\n\nDuring her intervention, Vice President Raquel Pe\u00f1a highlighted the impact that initiatives like this generate for the Dominican population, underlining the importance of having institutions that broaden access to reliable, safe, and timely health services, aligned with the current needs of the country.\n\nFor his part, Armando P\u00e9rez, Chairman of the Board of Directors, highlighted that CEMDOE Hospitalario is the continuation of a vision built from its origins, honoring the dream of its founder, Do\u00f1a Mariela Vicini, to transform healthcare from a deeply human and people-centered perspective.\n\n\n

<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\nIn that same vein, Dr. Gast\u00f3n Gabin, general director of CEMDOE, pointed out that this hospital stage represents the materialization of the institution's founding vision, translated today into better processes and an operation oriented towards clinical excellence. During his speech, he highlighted that, throughout its trajectory, CEMDOE has attended to more than 165,000 patients and has provided more than 1.3 million health services, reflecting the institution's sustained impact on specialized care in the country.\n\nHe also highlighted the Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation as a milestone, which validates compliance with the highest standards of healthcare globally, and reported that the institution is in the process of preparing for its hospital accreditation, scheduled for the end of this year, as part of its commitment to continuous improvement, patient safety, and quality of care.\n\n\n
