US Threats<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\nTensions between the U.S. and Iran escalated at the beginning of January, following President Trump's threat to proceed with military intervention, initially citing internal protests in Iran as the reason. Although the demonstrations ceased, Washington maintained pressure, redirecting its argument<\/a> towards Tehran's nuclear and missile programs.\n\nLast Friday, the first day of indirect contacts between the US and Iran on the nuclear issue was held in Muscat, Oman.
