Washington.-<\/strong> The U.S. President, Donald Trump,<\/strong> assured this Friday that he will visit Venezuela, although he admitted that the date of the trip has not yet been decided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"I am going to visit Venezuela,\" Trump responded to journalists at the White House today, and then explained that it has not yet been defined when this trip will take place.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\nThe Republican made these statements before leaving for a military base in North Carolina<\/strong>, where this Friday he plans to meet with members of the U.S. special forces who participated in the operation that ended with the capture in January of the Venezuelan president, Nicol\u00e1s Maduro, who is now facing trial in New York accused of narcoterrorism and conspiracy.\n\n\n

Following the military operation, the Trump administration has handed over the transition command in Venezuela to Maduro's former number two and current acting president, Delcy Rodr\u00edguez,<\/strong> and assured that the White House is overseeing the work of its Executive Branch.<\/p>\n\n\nBefore leaving for North Carolina, Trump also emphasized that Rodr\u00edguez is doing a \"very, very good job<\/strong>\" and praised the framework agreed with Caracas to reopen the Venezuelan crude oil production market to foreign oil companies under the strict control of Washington.\n\n\n
