Lima.-<\/strong> The Public Ministry of Peru<\/strong> opened another preliminary investigation against the interim president, the right-winger Jos\u00e9 Jer\u00ed<\/strong>, for the alleged commission of the crime of aggravated influence peddling due to the irregular hiring of young women<\/strong> who got jobs in the Executive after meeting with the president at the Government Palace.<\/p>\n\n\nThis was revealed by local media such as the television channel Latina and the radio station RPP, which had access to the provision signed by the interim Attorney General, Tom\u00e1s G\u00e1lvez Aladino, which details that the investigation has a period of 90 days.\n\n\n

Furthermore, they added that within the framework of this investigation, Jer\u00ed will have to testify on March 2 at 2:30 PM local time<\/strong> (7:30 PM GMT) before G\u00e1lvez Aladino, who will move to Government Palace.<\/h2>\n\n\nSeveral local media revealed in early February that at least five professionals between 29 and 38 years old obtained service orders and contracts in various public entities<\/strong>, such as the social health insurance (Essalud), the Ministries of Environment and Education, and the presidential office itself, a few days after visiting Jer\u00ed.\n\n\n

The Government of Peru has denied that young women have been hired irregularly at the Government Palace<\/strong> and stated through a statement that “it is not possible to objectify and violate the rights to good name, dignity and work simply because they are women and young”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
