According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/regulation\/court-battles\/5747345-epstein-estate-settlement-advisers-sex-trafficking-claims\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">complaint<\/a>, both had created a \"complex financial infrastructure\" that <strong>allowed the magnate to pay victims and recruiters in exchange for silence<\/strong>, while he and his associates obtained significant economic benefits.\n\nTo access compensation, <strong>the claimants must agree to waive any future claims<\/strong> and not have previously received payments from the Epstein estate or the victims' compensation fund created after his death. The agreement <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ndtv.com\/world-news\/epstein-estate-agrees-to-pay-up-to-35-million-to-settle-victims-claims-jeffrey-epstein-files-11111734#publisher=newsstand\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">covers<\/a> victims who reported having been <strong>assaulted, sexually abused, or trafficked by Epstein between January 1, 1995, and August 10, 2019<\/strong>.\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Ending the Litigation<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Although none of the defendants admitted to any wrongdoing, their lawyers indicated that they opted for the settlement to avoid a prolonged litigation and to close out the still-pending claims against the estate.
