You may be interested inr<\/a><\/strong>:The Dominican Republic team of the Classic faces its first commitment today against Detroit<\/a><\/p>\n\n\nMore than 100 students from the educational center participated in the activity, where they received bats, more than six dozen baseballs, catcher’s equipment, basketballs, and other sporting goods aimed at strengthening athletic practice at the school.\n\nDuring the day, Major League players Framber Valdez<\/strong>, Wenceel P\u00e9rez<\/strong> and Thayron Liranzo<\/strong> shared with the students, motivating them to practice sports without neglecting their academic training.\n\n“School is very important, education is the main thing in your life before anything else. We studied first and then became professionals. So focus on your studies and be good young people,” Valdez expressed to the children and teachers present.\n\nThe activity also included the presence of the owner of the Detroit team, Christopher Ilitch<\/strong>, as well as other team executives.\n\nIn representation of the national baseball commissioner, Junior Noboa<\/strong>, was the head of the Technical Directorate of the DCNB, Di\u00f3genes De la Cruz, who highlighted the importance of these types of initiatives to positively impact Dominican children.\n\n“For the National Baseball Commissioner’s Office, it is an honor to be here with the Detroit organization, inspiring these children so they can fulfill their dreams.
