{"id":502178,"date":"2026-03-14T16:05:35","date_gmt":"2026-03-14T20:05:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.net\/en\/uncategorized\/president-abinader-leads-graduation-of-more-than-4000-young-people-from-the-oportunidad-14-24-program\/"},"modified":"2026-03-14T16:05:35","modified_gmt":"2026-03-14T20:05:35","slug":"president-abinader-leads-graduation-of-more-than-4000-young-people-from-the-oportunidad-14-24-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.net\/en\/dominican-news\/president-abinader-leads-graduation-of-more-than-4000-young-people-from-the-oportunidad-14-24-program\/","title":{"rendered":"President Abinader leads graduation of more than 4,000 young people from the Oportunidad 14-24 program"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Santo Domingo.<\/strong> \u2013 President <strong>Luis Abinader<\/strong> led this Saturday the <strong>XII graduation of the Oportunidad 14-24 program,<\/strong> in which 4,026 young people completed their technical training process in different areas aimed at facilitating their insertion into the labor market.<\/p>\n\n\nThe graduates are part of the group corresponding to the July-December 2025 period and received training through 58 program centers located in 10 provinces and the National District, covering territories such as <strong>Santo Domingo, Monte Plata, San Crist\u00f3bal, Peravia, San Jos\u00e9 de Ocoa, San Pedro de Macor\u00eds, Hato Mayor, El Seibo, La Romana and La Altagracia.<\/strong>\n\n\n<p><strong>You may be interested in: <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/Raquel Pe\u00f1a resalta el aporte de las mujeres en la salud durante gala \u201cPremio Armida\u201d en Santiago\">http:\/\/Raquel Pe\u00f1a resalta el aporte de las mujeres en la salud durante gala \u201cPremio Armida\u201d en Santiago<\/a><\/p>\n\n\nDuring the training process, participants received training in 32 training paths designed to respond to the needs of the labor market and strengthen the employability and entrepreneurship opportunities of young people.\n\nThe coordinator of the Social Policy Cabinet of the Dominican Republic, Geanilda V\u00e1squez, highlighted the importance of this type of initiative to promote the development of communities and expand opportunities for youth, especially in vulnerable sectors.\n\nLikewise, the program director, Alex Mord\u00e1n, highlighted the evolution that the initiative has had since its creation, with the aim of transforming the reality of young people who do not study or work, providing them with access to technical training, employment, and personal development.\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Training Areas<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\nAmong the training areas, programs related to tourism, hospitality, and gastronomy stand out, with courses such as bartender, waiter, food and beverage service, hotel reception, bakery, and pastry.\n\nTraining was also offered in beauty and personal services, commerce and business services, including warehouse assistant, bank teller, accounting, secretarial and sales.\n\nThe training offer also included areas of technology and communication, with courses in computer science, English, multimedia, technical support, hardware, programming and networks, as well as training in electricity, event organization, decoration and creative services.\n\nThe process was supported by 276 collaborators from the EIC team, who accompanied the training of the young people during their time in the program.\n\nThe Oportunidad 14-24 program seeks to promote the social and productive inclusion of young people who are outside the education system or the labor market, providing them with technical training tools, socio-emotional training and support for their integration into the world of work or the continuation of their studies.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Santo Domingo. \u2013 President Luis Abinader led this Saturday the XII graduation of the Oportunidad 14-24 program, in which 4,026 young people completed their technical training process in different areas aimed at facilitating their insertion into the labor market.
