The news was confirmed by his youngest daughter.\n\nBorn on December 30, 1952, in Vicente Noble, Barahona province, Carlos Batista Matos developed an exemplary career, marked by his firm commitment to the dissemination of popular art and the strengthening of Dominican cultural identity.\n\nThroughout his professional life, he moved through important spaces in communication, establishing himself as one of the most respected voices in the entertainment field. His approach transcended the journalistic, incorporating a sociological vision that allowed understanding music as a reflection of social processes.\n\nIn the public sphere, he served as an ambassador attached to the Chancellery in 2005, from where he also promoted Dominican culture on international stages.\n\nAdopae highlighted that his departure represents an irreparable loss for the journalistic and cultural community of the country.
