<\/p>\n\n\nSANTO DOMINGO, D.N.<\/strong> \u2013 The Dominican Baseball Federation (Fedom) announced the start of the regional tournaments in the U-12 category, qualifying for the National Championship \u201cRobinson Can\u00f3 Cup\u201d 2026, an event that will bring together the best children's talents in the country.\n\n\n

In this stage, children between 11 and 12 years old, born in 2014 and 2015, will participate as part of the federation's official development calendar.\n\nThe action will begin in the South, with La Descubierta as the headquarters of South 1, where Pedernales, Bahoruco, Barahona, and Independencia will compete. That same day, San Juan de la Maguana will host South 2-A with teams from El\u00edas Pi\u00f1a and Azua, while San Jos\u00e9 de Ocoa will be the headquarters of South 2-B, made up of San Crist\u00f3bal, Peravia, and the host province. The winners of these last two zones will define the representative of South 2 on April 19.\n\nThe calendar will continue from April 24 to 25 in the Eastern region, with La Altagracia as the setting, receiving the provinces of La Romana, El Seibo, San Pedro de Macor\u00eds, Hato Mayor and Monte Plata.\n\nIn May, Santiago will host the Cibao Central tournament from the 1st to the 3rd with teams from La Vega, Monse\u00f1or Nouel, and Espaillat. Subsequently, from the 8th to the 10th, Saman\u00e1 will be the venue for the Northeast tournament, with representations from San Francisco de Macor\u00eds, Mar\u00eda Trinidad S\u00e1nchez, and S\u00e1nchez Ram\u00edrez.\n\nThe Northwest will be defined from May 15 to 17 in Dajab\u00f3n, with the participation of Monte Cristi, Santiago Rodr\u00edguez, Valverde and Puerto Plata.\n\nFinally, the regional tournaments will close from May 22 to 24 with the Gran Santo Domingo matchup between the National District and Santo Domingo province, at the Olympic Center.\n\nThese tournaments not only determine those classified for the Robinson Can\u00f3 Cup, but also allow Fedom to evaluate and update its talent database, with a view to forming the national team that will participate in the U-12 Pre-World Championship, scheduled for July in Mazatl\u00e1n, Mexico.\n\nIn the last edition, the province of Santo Domingo was crowned champion of the tournament, establishing itself as a benchmark for children's baseball in the country.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
