A recent meta-analysis cited by the American tabloid New York Post<\/em> included only ten human studies, covering 93 patients<\/strong> with follow-up mostly less than two years.\n\n\n

This limited volume of evidence prevents guaranteeing the safety of the procedure in the long term, especially regarding the potential development of\u00a0fat necrosis<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014the death of adipose tissue\u2014\u00a0or the formation of cysts and calcifications that can be confused with signs of tumors in mammograms.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\nThe very own Addona, who has performed more than 10 thousand breast surgeries during his career<\/strong>, specified: \u201cIf the patient's own fat is used, the probability of necrosis is low, but not zero.
