<\/a>SRE coordinates attention with embassies after shooting in Teotihuac\u00e1n<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\nThe Chancellery<\/strong> informed that it established direct contact<\/strong> with the diplomatic representations<\/strong> of the countries of the affected people, particularly with the Canadian embassy in Mexico<\/strong>, after confirming the death of a citizen of that country, as well as with authorities from Colombia<\/strong>, because two women<\/strong> of that nationality were injured.\n\nThe dependency detailed that it maintains permanent communication<\/strong> with these embassies with the aim of providing consular assistance<\/strong>, accompaniment to the victims and punctual follow-up<\/strong> to the investigations.\n\n\n

<\/a>This intervention is part of the\u00a0international protocols<\/strong>\u00a0that are activated when\u00a0foreign citizens<\/strong>\u00a0are involved in acts of\u00a0violence<\/strong>\u00a0outside their country.<\/p>\n\n\nIn this context, President Claudia Sheinbaum<\/strong> pointed out that the SRE is working in a coordinated<\/strong> manner with federal and state authorities and security<\/strong> forces to address the emergency and guarantee the protection<\/strong> of the affected people.\n\n\n

<\/a>What happened in the Archaeological Zone of Teotihuacan today<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\nThe events were recorded around 11:30 a.m. inside the archaeological zone, one of the most visited tourist sites in the country.\n\nAccording to preliminary reports<\/strong>, a man opened fire on a group of visitors following an alleged fight<\/strong>.\n\nThe attack would have started at the top of the Pyramid of the Moon<\/strong>, from where the aggressor carried out multiple detonations<\/strong>.\n\n\n
