When we promote public management based on transparency, when we strengthen accountability mechanisms, when we defend the independence of the Public Ministry, and we promote that the law be applied without exceptions.\"<\/em> \n\n\n

In this context, he highlighted the rehabilitation of the National Museum of History and Geography<\/strong>, in the Plaza de la Cultura Juan Pablo Duarte; that of Horacio V\u00e1zquez,<\/strong> in Tamboril; the Museum of Art<\/strong>, in Santiago; the Mayobanex Vargas Memorial Room<\/strong>, in Bonao; the Museum of Gold and Silver<\/strong> of Cotu\u00ed; the Museum of History and Traditions<\/strong> of Santiago, as well as the recently planned Museum of the April Uprising<\/strong>, among others.\n\n\n

Remembering Espaillat's legacy<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, the Minister of Culture<\/strong>, Roberto \u00c1ngel Salcedo, who chairs the Commission for the Commemoration of the sesquicentennial of the government of Ulises Francisco Espaillat, created by Decree 640-25<\/strong>, expressed his satisfaction with the fulfillment of its objectives, by developing a series of activities that highlight the figure and legacy of Ulises Francisco Espaillat.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\nHe then cited the recently concluded Cibao 2026 Regional Book and Culture Fair,<\/strong> which dedicated a large part of its cultural and programmatic agenda<\/strong> to the figure of the former president, with talks and conferences ventilating Espaillat's ideals and several works around his thinking being printed and distributed.\n\n\n
