Doha<\/strong>,- The Foreign Minister of Qatar<\/strong>, Mohamed bin Abdulrahman<\/strong>, warned his Iranian counterpart, Ab\u00e1s Araqch\u00ed<\/strong>, on Saturday about the consequences that the continuation of the blockade in the Strait of Hormuz<\/strong> could generate for the world supply of energy and food.<\/p>\n\n\nThe warning was made during a telephone conversation between both officials, in which they discussed the progress of diplomatic negotiations and international efforts to avoid an escalation of the conflict in the Persian Gulf, according to the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs.\n\nDuring the dialogue, Doha reiterated its support for mediation initiatives aimed at achieving a peaceful resolution to the crisis and called for the cooperation of all parties involved to reduce the risk of a further deterioration of the regional situation.\n\n\n

However, negotiations remain stalled due to tensions related to control of the strait.\n\n\n
