As part of the day, the court of the Framboy\u00e1n sector was formally installed.\n\nThe event began with a press conference held at the Haina Sports Center, where the authorities provided details on the scope and impact of the program, as well as the upcoming spaces that will be intervened in different communities of the country.\n\nThe opening remarks were given by the mayor of Haina, Osvaldo Rodr\u00edguez, who valued the impact of this type of project for the strengthening of sports and recreational spaces for the benefit of youth and communities.\n\nThe delivery was headed by the Minister of Youth, Carlos Valdez, who explained that the program arises from the surveys carried out during the Youth with B de Barrio days, where different sports and recreational needs in vulnerable sectors were identified. In that sense, he highlighted that the initiative seeks to transform improvised spaces used by young people to practice basketball into adequate, safe and dignified facilities for sports development and healthy coexistence.\n\n\n

The project continues to expand its reach with the recovery of sports spaces in vulnerable sectors, with the goal of delivering more than 200 courts throughout the national territory, promoting safer, healthier, and more inclusive environments for Dominican youth.\n\nDuring the activity, community members and young people positively valued the intervention, highlighting the importance of having decent spaces that promote social and sports development in their sectors.\n\nThrough this type of program, the Ministry of Youth continues to promote the integral well-being of Dominican youth, betting on sports as a tool for social transformation.\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
