And it is that the authorities have reported progress in rescue operations, prevention and institutional coordination to confront these crimes, which mainly affect children and adolescents.\n\nThe Inter-institutional Commission against Commercial Sexual Exploitation and Trafficking in Persons<\/strong> (CICESCT) announced the rescue of 18 victims<\/strong> of human trafficking and child pornography in different areas of the country. These actions are part of the measures implemented at the beginning of the new administration.\n\nAccording to the official report, 77% of the rescued victims are minors<\/strong>, including 10 girls<\/strong> and four boys<\/strong>. Also assisted were three adult women<\/strong> and one man<\/strong> affected by these crimes.\n\n\n

<\/a>The most vulnerable children<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The data shows that children and adolescents continue to be the groups most exposed to sexual exploitation networks and crimes related to human trafficking. According to the report, 3,604 people have participated<\/strong> in training and orientation processes promoted by the commission and aimed at different social and community sectors.\n\n\n

Call to Report<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\nThese activities seek to promote reporting<\/strong>, reduce risk factors, and raise awareness of the warning signs associated with human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation. The campaigns also strengthen the response capacity in vulnerable communities, where victims often face poverty, social exclusion, or lack of access to protection mechanisms.\n\nAs part of the national strategy, the CICESCT<\/strong> reported on the creation, reactivation, and strengthening of 15 local committees<\/strong> in different municipalities of the country. These community structures support the processes of prevention, early identification of potential victims, and coordination with the competent authorities.\n\nIn collaboration with Lawyers Without Borders Canada<\/strong>, the Victim Detection Guide aimed at the personnel of the National Police of Honduras<\/strong> in the process of promotion, as well as community actors and representatives of local committees, was socialized. The authorities assure that this tool improves the detection of cases and strengthens inter-institutional coordination in strategic points of the country.\n\nSeven minor victims of child pornography stood out among the cases handled by the Honduran Inter-institutional Commission.\n\n\n

Institutional Coordination<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\nThe (CICESCT) integrates the Comprehensive System for Guaranteeing the Rights of Children and Adolescents in Honduras (SIGADENAH), under the coordination of the Secretariat for Children, Adolescents and Family<\/strong> (SENAF).
