LA VEGA<\/strong>. The Reales de La Vega scored an epic 75-73 victory over the Gigantes Basketball Club in a Super Liga LNB elimination phase game held this Wednesday at the Fernando Teruel Sports Palace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the victory, the Royals brought their record to 9-9, while the Giants stand at 13-5. The partials were 12-25, 19-17, 24-25, 20-6 in favor of the team from La Vega.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the Royals, who shot 42 percent from the field, with 31 rebounds and 17 assists, Ramon Galloway scored 21 points, followed by Malachi Richardson with 16 points, Anphernee Acevedo added 14, and Anderson Mirambeaux finished with 10 units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the Giants, who shot 40 percent from the field, with 40 rebounds and 11 assists, Francis Fitzgerald scored 20 points; Luismal Ferreiras finished with 13 units and 11 rebounds, and Romario Roque had 14, and<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fourth quarter was key for the Royals, who executed the defensive side to perfection to stop the Giants’ offense in its tracks, which went eight minutes and 58 seconds without scoring a field goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Royals signed, in that stretch, a 20-6 run that allowed them to make the game 75-73.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With 4:58 remaining in the fourth quarter, Rey Abad made a mid-range basket that put the Reales up 71-69, following a 16-2 run resulting from great collective work on the defensive end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Giants dominated the first half at will, heading into halftime with an 11-point lead (42-31), limiting the Royals to 25 percent from the field (8 of 32 attempts), and 27 percent from three-point range, converting four of 15 attempts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The visitors, on the other hand, shot 38 percent from the field (16 of 42), with 36 percent from the three-point range (4 of 11), while dominating the boards 30-18.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
