Holy Sunday.- A contingent of the National Police of more than 50 agents, interrupted last Saturday, March 15, the festival Isle Of Light provoking the displeasure of hundreds of attendees who took to social media to describe the authorities' actions as abusive and to criticize the event organizers.
According to the information, the agents arrived unexpectedly just at the moment when the alternative rock band, Incubus played "Pardon Me", turning off the sound after 2:00 in the morning.
This information was confirmed by Incubus vocalist, Brandon Boyd, who posted on her Instagram account: "First time in the Dominican Republic! What an experience!" I couldn't get on stage until almost 2am because of the rain., incredible technical problems and then the local police cut the sound before we could finish our performance. But, despite everything, it was a hilarious show.
A source present at the scene confirmed to De Último Minuto that the contingent arrived with 19 mobile prisons, as if the participating artists and the audience were criminals.
Given the conditions, the Dominican pop rock band, Aljadaqui, expected by the public, could not be presented.
It is highlighted that the inconveniences with the schedule were due to the weather conditions which led to a break that lasted about 2 hours at around 9:00 p.m., resuming presentations around 11:00 p.m..
Disgruntled users
This interruption caused users to express the discomfort of the moment on social networks with comments that mostly pointed to the aggressive actions of the police and the lack of planning by the organizers.

Some point out that since the delay was observed due to the heavy rain, the authorities should have been notified for the extension of the schedule at this event. Others speak of shame and disrespect by interrupting international artists.
"Our country's beloved police have damaged the best of us, that institution is useless," wrote one user on Instagram identified as Vlad Guzman.
