Santo Domingo, DR – The Association of Art Chroniclers (Acroarte) has announced that merengue singer Aramis Camilo will be awarded a Special Sovereign in the framework of the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Sovereign Awards, the highest distinction in music and entertainment in the Dominican Republic. The renowned artist, a prominent figure in the golden years of merengue, will receive the honor during an evening filled with emotions and tributes to national music.
The ceremony, which will take place next Tuesday, March 25th, at the Eduardo Brito National Theater, will bring together the best of Dominican and international artistic talent. This celebration promises to be a special tribute to the four decades of the Soberano Awards, which have witnessed the evolution of entertainment in the country and the impact of national music worldwide, under the general production of César Suárez Jr.
