Holy Sunday.- The talented American actress of Dominican origin, Zoe Saldaña, confirmed this Sunday his participation in the Soberano Awards, and will be one of the great guest stars on the night celebrating the 40th anniversary.
Awarded this year with an Oscar for her performance in the musical drama Emilia Pérez, for which she received the statuette Best Actress of distribution, returns to the Dominican Republic at the invitation of Acroarte and the production of Sovereign Awards, at a peak moment in his rising film career.

The actress's attendance at the ceremony was confirmed this Sunday by the Association of Art Chroniclers. «Commemorating our fortieth edition of Premios Soberano with the presence of our Zoe Saldaña gives us more reasons to celebrate. It is a great honor for us to have her, not only for the great achievements she has reached in her career, but she also represents a great example for Dominicans who achieve their dreams based on talent, constant work, preparation and perseverance,» commented Wanda Sánchez, president of Acroarte.
A doubly special occasion for the organizers of the most important artistic awards in the country as well as for the actress, who in 2005, together with Freddy Ginebra, had the opportunity to present this same ceremony. "On the night of March 25, we will celebrate the pride of Dominican talent at the National Theater, together with all the talents who, like her, are examples of the excellence of our artistic manifestations," said Sánchez.
The Soberano Awards are being held under the co-sponsorship of Cervecería Nacional Dominicana and BanReservas, with general production by producer César Suárez Jr., and will be broadcast starting at 7:00 p.m. –when the red carpet opens– and starting at 8:00 a.m. the ceremony will begin and will be seen on Color Visión in the Dominican Republic and on Univisión in the United States, a channel that will be expanded with live coverage from its digital platform ViX.
Saldaña was not only invited to the Soberano Awards as a high-caliber figure in the international film industry, but also as a symbol of the success of Latinos in Hollywood.
In addition to the Oscar that crowned her career on the 2nd of this month, she had received for her work in the aforementioned film as Best Actress: the Golden Globe, the Critics Choice Award, the BAFTA and the Screen Actors Guild Award.
