Helsinki.- He President of Ukraine, Volodímir Zelenski, accused the Russian president on Wednesday, Vladimir Putin, for not keeping his word, after the Russian army attacked Ukrainian energy infrastructure again, despite the Kremlin leader saying he had given his military the order to begin working on a partial truce.

In a press conference in Helsinki, where he met with his Finnish counterpart, Alexander Stubb, Zelensky called on the international community to increase pressure on Russia to force it to end the war.

"We must ensure that these are not just Putin's words, because he gave the order not to strike at the energy sector and broke that same order," said Zelensky, who advocated for the US to monitor compliance with the partial truce proposed by Russia once it comes into effect.

Zelensky also explained that Ukraine will present a list of energy and civilian targets that must be included in the partial ceasefire. "If the Russians don't hit our infrastructure, we won't hit theirs," he declared.

The issue could be discussed at the next meeting between Ukrainian representatives and emissaries of President Donald Trump.

The Ukrainian president also criticized Putin for wanting to "weaken" Ukraine by demanding, according to the Kremlin, that US President Donald Trump cease all arms supplies to his country and also again cut off the flow of US intelligence to kyiv.

"He wants us to be in the dark about his attacks," Zelensky said, stressing that the intelligence he receives allows Ukraine to protect its civilian population from Russian attacks using weapons such as ballistic missiles.

The Ukrainian president also reaffirmed that the US-proposed ceasefire is a "correct" first step toward ending the war, but insisted that he will not recognize any Ukrainian territory occupied by Russia.

"For us, the red line is the recognition of temporarily occupied territories as part of Russia. We will not do that," Zelensky said when asked about the possibility of the US and Russia demanding that he recognize the Ukrainian peninsula of Crimea, annexed by Russia in 2014, as part of the Russian Federation.
