Mexico.- Mexican actor Rafael Amaya announced this Monday on his social media that he will be the protagonist and producer of the new series about the Mexican drug trafficker Joaquín 'el Chapo' Guzmán, which will be told from the perspective of his wife, Emma Coronel, and the life she had with the capo currently detained in the United States.
In the publication, Amaya reports the exclusive in which Deadline magazine specified that the interpreter, known for the series 'El señor de los cielos' will be one of the executive producers of the project, as well as Coronel and Maritza Ramos with the Amaya Productions label.
Zero Gravity Management, a company that has participated in the production of titles such as the series Ozark, which -with the leading role of actor Jason Bateman (Marty Byrde)- narrates the links of organized crime between Mexico and the United States, also joins the production team.
The creative team is looking for the screenwriter who will write the script for the as-yet-untitled production.

Although it is known that the series will be a crime drama with elements of fiction that covers themes such as power, loyalty and survival through the experiences of Coronel with Guzmán, who was considered one of the most powerful capos in the world along with Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, alias 'El Mencho', killed this Sunday by the Mexican authorities.
