  • 1993: in the city of Guatemala, Jorge Serrano Elías resigns from his position as president.
  • 2010: in the Mediterranean Sea, the Israeli army attacks a series of ships that were heading towards Gaza with humanitarian aid, arguing that they were transporting weapons.
